This showed up at Houseworks, a great consignment store in Iowa City, in December 2002. I had to get it for Steve — and for me as well. It's accompanied us on several trips. Pretty fun to go next door and tell Steve's folks and sis-in-law that the bar is open (from our trip to see Matt "take the walk" to get his diploma).
Why the name? Well, it does have nice alliteration. And Myrna Loy is so sharp and funny in The Thin Man, in which Nick and Nora are rarely without a lovely cocktail.
Nick Charles: "The important thing is the rhythm. Always have rhythm in your shaking. Now a Manhattan you always shake to fox-trot time, a Bronx to two-step time, a dry martini you always shake to waltz time."
